Argentina earned the second consecutive victory at the U18 FIBA Americas Championship. They topped Uruguay to stay perfect in Group B. Jose Vildoza netted 16 points and collected 12 rebounds in the victory. Argentina built a 22:12 lead after the first frame. They boosted the gap in the second frame. Argentina arrived at halftime up by 16 points 41:25. Uruguay stopped the rot in the third term. They pulled within 10 points at the final break. But Argentina held their opponents to 14 points in the fourth stanza and sealed the victory. Juan Arengo chipped in 13 points, while Lucio Delfino had 10 points for the winners. Juan Galletto answered with 14 points for Uruguay. Octavio Medina netted 13 points in the loss.
