Canada will play in the championship game at the U18 FIBA Americas Championship. They outscored Argentina in the exciting semifinal clash on Monday. Dillon Brooks unleashed 29 points to pace the North American team. Canada will now take on hosting USA in the Final. Canada jumped to a 23:16 lead after the first quarter. Argentina cut the deficit at 5-point mark at halftime 37:42. Canada increased the tempo in the third term. They stretched the gap at 11-point mark heading into the fourth frame. But Argentina lived up to the challenge. They responded with a 23:12 run in the quarter and forced overtime. Canada picked up the tempo in the extra period and sealed the winning outcome. Montaque Gill-Caesar finished with 24 points, while Munis Tutu added 8 points in the victory. Jose Vildoza answered with 26 points for Argentina. Juan Arengo had 16 points in the loss.
