USA U18 recorded the fourth consecutive victory at the FIBA Americas Championship. They overcame Dominican Republic in the semifinal clash to advance into title game. Stanley Johnson scored 15 points to lead the winners. The USA grabbed a 24:14 lead after the opening quarter. They boosted the gap in the second frame. The USA established a 51:29 halftime lead. The margin kept on growing in the second half. The USA ensured a 28-point lead heading into the fourth frame and never looked back en route to the victory. Tyus Jones had 14 points, while Allonzo Trier added 13 points in the winning effort. Weisner Perez answered with 11 points for Dominican Republic. Jeromy Rodriguez had 10 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
