Finals Game 7: EA7 Armani - Montepaschi 74-67

Date: June 27, 2014
Emporio Armani are the new SeriaA champions! They defeated Montepaschi Siena in a thrilling seventh game of the Finals to retain the trophy they last won back in 1996. The victory marked the 26th Seria triumph for the Milan team. Montepaschi Siena was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 26-13 charge of Armani Milano, which allowed them to win the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Montepaschi Siena helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international Nicolo Melli (205-91) fired a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. International swingman Alessandro Gentile (200-92) chipped in 18 points. Armani Milano's coach Luca Banchi used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Josh Carter (200-88, college: Texas A&M) produced 13 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Marquez Haynes (191-86, college: Texas Arlington) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side.
