Tijuana needed overtime to clinch a vital home win over Culiacan in the sixth game of the CIBACOPA Finals. The Zonkeys evened the series at 3-3 with the victory. The hosts trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 25-16 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 6-point victory in overtime. Tijuana Zonkeys forced 22 Caballeros de Culiacan turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) had a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward James Penny (198-76, college: TCU) chipped in 24 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Rene Rougeau (198-86, college: UNLV) with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Benjamin Puckett (205-83, college: Clayton St., agency: I.D.S. Law) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. Four Tijuana Zonkeys and five Caballeros de Culiacan players scored in double figures.
