Finals Game 1: Jiangsu TX - Guangxi R. 81-98

Guangxi Rhinos grabbed the lead in the NBL Finals. They outscored Jiangsu on the road in the opening game of the title series. The game was mostly controlled by Guangxi R.. Jiangsu TX managed to win third quarter 26-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Guangxi R. won last quarter 32-16. They made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Guangxi R. made 7 blocks. Senegalese center Hamady N'Diaye (212-87, college: Rutgers) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks for the winners and the former international point guard Jie Sun (190-86) chipped in 27 points and 5 assists. At the losing side point guard Xin Feng (187-92) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and guard LiBin Xie (190-88) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Five Guangxi R. and four Jiangsu TX players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
