Philippines outscored Jordan to stay undefeated at the FIBA Asia Cup. They occupied the top position in Group B and would face India in the quarterfinals. Jordan will now take on defending champions Iran in another playoff battle. Philippines snatched a 17:12 lead after the opening frame. Jordan erased the deficit in the second quarter. The teams were tied at 30 at the interval. Jordan pulled in front in the third frame. They ensured a 52:49 lead heading into the fourth stanza. But Philippines turned things around in the final frame. Ranidel deOcampo sank a late three-pointer to put Philippines in front 71:68. Rasheim Wright narrowed the gap from free throw line but Philippines escaped with a narrow win. Paul Lee finished with 16 points, while Ranidel deOcampo had 14 points for the winners. Wesam El-Sous responded with 14 points for Jordan. Ahmad Al-Dwairi tossed in 13 points and pulled down 14 boards in the defeat.
