Finals Game 3: Guangxi R. - Jiangsu TX 86-64

Date: July 18, 2014
Guangxi are the new NBL champions. They handed the third consecutive defeat to Jiangsu to complete the sweep of the championship series. The game was mostly controlled by Guangxi R.. Jiangsu TX managed to win fourth quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Jiangsu TX 51-38 including a 43-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Guangxi R. made 9 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Jiangsu TX helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Jie Sun (190-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 6 assists. Senegalese center Hamady N'Diaye (212-87, college: Rutgers) helped adding 19 points, 13 rebounds and 8 blocks. Four Guangxi R. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard XianLing Sun (190-89) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and American swingman P.J. Couisnard (193-84, college: Wichita St., agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
