Iran defeated their FIBA Asia Cup title. They overcame Taiwan to repeat as the champions in Wuhan. Hamed Haddadi stepped up with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Iran recorded a 26:21 lead after ten minutes of action. Taiwan bounced back in the second frame. They erased the deficit to level things up at 42. Iran notched 24 points in the third term to record a 4-point lead at the final intermission. Iran limited Taiwan to just 17 points in the fourth frame and rallied to the victory. Jamshidi recorded 20 points, while Kazemi added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the champions. Quincy Davis answered with 19 points and 12 rebounds for Taiwan. Ying-Chun Chen had 16 points in the defeat.
