The Saigon Heat earned the second straight win at the start of the ASEAN League season. They held off visiting Laskar Dreya for 2-0 record. Leo Avenido nailed 24 points, grabbed 6 boards and issued 4 assists in the victory. The Heat recorded a 19:10 lead after the opening quarter. They stretched the lead in the second term. The Heat accumulated a comfortable 37:19 halftime advantage. They did not loosen the grasp in the third term. Saigon ensured a comfortable 26-point lead heading into the fourth frame. Laskar Dreya narrowed the gap in the final stanza but could not avoid a heavy defeat at the end. Dustin Scott had 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Justin Williams contributed 11 points and 14 boards in the win. Falando Jones answered with 16 points for Laskar Dreya. Paul Crosby delivered 13 points and 11 caroms in the defeat.
