Mexico clinch 5th place at 2014 Centrobasket. The home side overcame Jamaica 63:49 in their last game. Both teams scored 12 points each in the first period and then Mexico gabbed 3-point lead at the half-time after a 14-11 rally in the second frame. Again Mexico and Jamaica netted 13 points each in the third period that remained the difference after three quarters. Mexico erupted with a 24-13 surge in the last stanza to clinch the win. Valenzuela Jazmin led the way with 15 points, while Sanchez Sandra and Lara Myriam notched 12 each. Richards Shereesha collected 19 points and 12 rebounds in a loss and Smith Shenneika poured in 16.
