Preliminary Round Day 2: BAHAMAS - EL SALVADOR 96-47

Bahamas tastes the first success at the Centrobasket 2014. They posted a comfortable 96:47 win over El Salvador and tied their record at 1-1 in Group A. El Salvador meanwhile played their first game. Bahamas opened the game with a 21-11 surge and never looked behind after. They added a 16-14 rally in the second frame and led 37:25 at the half-time. The third period was a nightmare for El Salvador that posted 5 points and got 32 from the opponents. Moreover Bahama added 27-17 rally in the last stanza for an easy win. Alonzo Hinds top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Hield netted 16. Scott Farrington delivered 14, whilst Jaraun Burrows added 11. Valladares James ended up with 14 points in a loss, whilst Jose Araujo and Alejandro Arias chipped in 9 apiece.
