Preliminary Round Day 2: PANAMA - COSTA RICA 84-40

Panama demolish Costa Rica in Day 2 of the Centrobasket 2014. They posted an 84:40 win in Group B for a 1-1 record. Costa Rica meanwhile fell at 0-2 record. Panama had a slow start and led 14-11 after the first 10 minutes of the game. They however erupted with a 26-9 surge in the second period for a 40:20 halftime advantage. Moreover Panama added another 26-9 rally in the third period and then finished the game with a 18-11 run. Josimar Ayarza stepped up with 17 points for the winners and Issac St. Rose notched 12. Joel Munoz had 11, whilst Jose lloreda brought 10. Martinez Kay replied with 14 points in defeat and Quesada Carlos netted 6. Tomorrow, Panama will face Dominican Republic, while Costa Rica is going without many aspirations against Jamaica looking to get into the fight.
