Jamaica open Day 3 with the win over Costa Rica at Centrobasket 2014. Jamaica grabbed a 64:56 victory for 1-1 record in Group B. Costa Rica meanwhile fell at 0-3 record. Costa Rica surprised the opponents with a 15-14 lead in the start of the game and led 1 point at the half-time. The third period was however decisive in the game as Jamaica erupted with a 19-5 surge to take a 46:33 advantage after 30 minutes of the game. Costa Rica managed to win the last stanza 23-18 and reduced to final 8 points. Efejuku top-scored for the winners with 23 points and Blair Garfield netted 14. Scott Akeem posted 13, whilst Walters Brandon had 6. Martinez Kay answered with 15 points in a loss and Conejo Isaac as well as Anderson Jefny poured in 9 apiece.
