Preliminary Round Day 4: U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS - BAHAMAS 80-79

Virgin Islands celebrate the initial win in Nayarit at the Centrobasket 2014. They grabbed a narrow 80:79 win over Bahamas and improved to 1-2 record. The later meanwhile fell at 1-3 record. It was one of them most thrilling games at the tournament. At first Bahamas grabbed 22-20 lead after the first ten minutes, while Virgin Islands responded with a 20-19 rally in the second frame. The latter dominated the third period and after 26-17 run had 8-point advantage entering the last period. Bahamas bounced back with a 21-14 run, but could not get the win. Cuthbert Victor stepped up with 15 points and Walter Hodge scored 11. Johnathan Gray followed them with 10 points in a win. Mychel Thompson finished the game with 18 points in a loss. Rainer Hield delivered 16, whilst Kadeem Coleby had 10.
