Preliminary Round Day 5: EL SALVADOR - U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS 70-105

Johnathan Gray leads Virgin Islands past El Salvador in the last game for both teams at Centtrobasket 2014. He nailed 26 points in a 105:70 win as his side finished with a 2-2 record in Group A n the third place. El Salvador ended up 5th with a 0-4 record. Virgin Islands erupted with a 32-13 surge in the first period and never looked behind after. They added massive 30-19 burst in the second frame and enjoyed a 62:22 advantage at the halftime. Moreover the latter won the third period 25-16 and did not mind 18-22 in the last frame. Aaron Brown delivered 15 points for the winners and Cuthbert Victor notched 14. Alejandro Arias scored 16 points in the losing effort and Carlos Arias as well as Nefi Perdomo nailed 13 apiece. Salvador Bandek produced 12 points in a loss.
