Puerto Rico beat the defending champions to enter the Final of the Centrobasket 2014. They needed a 78:73 win over Dominican Republic in the Semifinal clash. Puerto Rico won the first period 16-15 and increased to 5 points at the halftime. Dominican Republic bounced back with a 23-17 run in the third period, but could not seal the victory. Puerto Rico needed a 27-21 rally to seal the victory. Barea top-scored for the winners with 18 points and Devon Collier nailed 15. Michael Rosario followed them with 9 points in a win. Santana Edward notched 14 points and Liz Victor posted 13. Elpidio Fortuna had 12, whilst James Maye brought 9.
