Regular Season Round 5: Singapore S. - KL Dragons 77-68

The Singapore Slingers registered a tough home win over the Westports KL Dragons at the OCBC Arena tonight. The victory propelled the Slingers at 5-2 record. It also ended a four-game winning streak for the Warriors. The Slingers jumped at 19:11 lead after the opening frame. They stayed aggressive throughout the second quarter. The hosts ensured a 43:32 halftime lead. The Dragons cut the deficit in the third term. They pulled within just two points at the final intermission. However Justin Knox (205-F-89, college: N.Carolina) fouled out midway through the fourth frame and the Warriors ran out of steam as the Slingers finished off the visitors in the dying minutes. Jeffers Kyle produced 17 points to pace the winners. Low Russel and Adam Becis had 12 points each for the home team. Moala Tautuaa responded with 13 points for the Warrriors. Justin Knox had 12 points in the defeat.
