Regular Season Day 1: FRANCE - BRAZIL 63-65

Brazil overcame France in Granada in Day 1 of the 2014 World Cup. Brazil came behind after a slow start and finished with a narrow 65-63 win. France started better and posted an 18-11 lead at the start of the game. Brazil however dominated the rest of the game and managed to open their winning account. Brazil responded with a 17-8 run in the second frame and added an 18-15 rally in the third quarter. Marcelinho Huertas scored for 60:53 lead with less than two minutes to go to secure the victory for his side. Antoine Diot however reduced to the minimum at the end of the game, while Marquinhos Vieira brought the final result in the game from the free throw line.
