Turkey outgunned Dominican Republic to claim the second position in Group C. Oguz Savas stepped up with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the Turkish team. It was a close battle in the first period. Turkey eked out a 14:13 lead after ten minutes. But they used a 27:10 run in the second frame to pile up an 18-point halftime advantage. Turkey kept Dominican Republic at distance throughout the second half marching to the victory. Kerem Gonlum chipped in 10 points, while Cenk Akyol and Emir Preldzic had 9 points each in the win. Francisco Garcia responded with 18 points for Dominican Republic. Victor Liz had 12 points in the loss.
