1/8 Finals Day 6: NEW ZEALAND - LITHUANIA 71-76

Baltic side advanced to the Quarterfinals of the World Cup 2014. Lithuania overcame New Zealand 76-71 in the first game of Sunday actions. Lithuania opened the game with a 23-9 lead in the opening period and had 36-26 halftime advantage. New Zealand managed to catch up with the opponents later in the game and posted a 24-22 rally in the third quarter. Moreover Mika Vukona tied the game at 65-65 with 2 minutes to go, but then Lithuania replied with an 8-0 run and sealed a 73-65 advantage. Mika Vukona again reduced to 73-67, while Tai Jack Webster cut it to 4 with less than 30 seconds to go. Maciulis added one from the free throw line, while Martynas Pocius scored two for 76-71. Jonas Valanciunas top-scored for the winners with 22 points and Martynas Pocius posted 11. Tai Jack Webster replied with 26 points in defeat and Fotu scored 11.
