Japan coasted past Kuwait to gain the first victory in Group F. Kosuke Kanamaru was responsible for 18 points in the win. Japan exploded with 55 points in the first half to secure a 23-point halftime lead. They boosted the gap at 25-point mark at the final intermission and never looked back en route to the victory. Naoto Tsuji accounted for 14 points in the win. Ahmad Albaloushi responded with 16 points for Kuwait.
