Regular Season Round 1: AZS PP - SKK Siedlce 65-61

AZS PP defeated SKK Siedlce in Poznan 65-61. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 19-9. But SKK Siedlce won second period 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AZS PP forced 20 SKK Siedlce turnovers. Strangely SKK Siedlce outrebounded AZS PP 40-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Maciej Rostalski (198-90) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 rebounds. Michal Szydlowski (197-87) contributed with 13 points for the winners. AZS PP's coach Waldemar Mendel allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Karol Debski (198-84, agency: Promotex) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds and Kamil Sulima (193-80) added 13 points and 7 assists in the effort for SKK Siedlce. SKK Siedlce will play next round against Stal Ostrow trying to get back on the winning streak. AZS PP will try to continue on its current victory against GKS Tychy on the road.
