Regular Season Round 1: Bordeaux - Vichy 71-75

We should not miss anothera road victory of JA Vichy (1-0) over JSA Bordeaux (0-1) 75-71. It looked good early as JSA Bordeaux took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then JA Vichy had a 21-14 second period charge getting the lead and JSA Bordeaux was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 71-75. JA Vichy forced 19 JSA Bordeaux turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by JSA Bordeaux helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American swingman Jason Williams (198-83, college: UTEP, agency: Hoops Marketing) fired 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Octavio Da Silveira (204-89) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. point guard Gauthier Darrigand (184-82) produced 21 points and 4 assists and American-Ivorian guard Errick Craven (185-83, college: USC) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four JA Vichy and five JSA Bordeaux players scored in double figures. JA Vichy's next round opponent will be UB Chartres at home which should be an easy win for them. JSA Bordeaux will play against Rueil and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
