Regular Season Round 2: MMCITE Brno - Prostejov 66-91

Date: October 1, 2014
Not a big story in a game when MMCITE Brno (0-2) was rolled over at home by Prostejov (2-0) 91-66 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Prostejov. MMCITE Brno was better in second period 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding MMCITE Brno to just 7 points in third quarter. Prostejov made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. The former international forward Radek Necas (206-80) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Dylan Talley (196-89, college: Nebraska) chipped in 18 points during the contest. Four Prostejov players scored in double figures. Serbian forward Petar Maric (205-87) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and forward Roman Zachrla (200-87) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prostejov will face BK Lions Hradec in J.Hradec in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MMCITE Brno will play on the road against CEZ Nymburk and hope to win that game.
