South Korea are the new Asian Games champions. They avenged the loss in the Final of 2010 edition of the tournament and beat China to conquer the trophy. Yeonha Beon nailed 16 points to pace the hosts. China eked out a 19:18 lead after the opening quarter. They maintained the advantage throughout the second frame. China established a 35:33 halftime lead. But South Korea erased the deficit and eked out a one-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. The home team held China to just 12 points in the fourth period and rallied to the victory at the end. Jung Ja Sin netted 14 points, while Danbi Kim added 13 points for the winners. Xiufeng Shi responded with 16 points for China. Fan Zhang accounted for 13 points and 9 rebounds in the defeat.
