Quite upsetting was JSF Nanterre's (#4) home defeat in a game versus Paris-Levallois 71-60. JSF Nanterre was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 22-10 charge of Paris-Levallois, which allowed them to win the game. Paris-Levallois outrebounded JSF Nanterre 41-25 including a 32-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward Sharrod Ford (206-82, college: Clemson) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import point guard Mike Green (185-85, college: Butler) chipped in 15 points. American swingman Mykal Riley (198-85, college: Alabama) produced 11 points and 4 assists and center Johan Passave-Ducteil (200-85) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four JSF Nanterre players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Paris-Levallois will meet at home Gravelines-Dunkerque in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JSF Nanterre will play against Cholet Basket and hope to win that game.
