Regular Season Round 5: Usti n/Labem - USK Praha 82-86

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked BK Usti nad Labem (2-3) was defeated at home by ninth ranked USK Praha (2-2) 86-82. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. USK Praha made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. USK Praha outrebounded BK Usti nad Labem 30-19 including a 24-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Swingman Michal Mares (192-92) nailed 19 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winning side and Slovenian center Matej Krusic (211-87) accounted for 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). USK Praha's coach Mirsad Alilovic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard James Rahon (196-89, college: San Diego St., agency: Beo Basket) came up with 27 points and Canadian point guard Hernst Laroche (185-89, college: N.Mexico St.) added 14 points, 17 assists and 4 steals respectively for BK Usti nad Labem in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. USK Praha moved-up to sixth place. BK Usti nad Labem at the other side keeps the seventh position with three games lost. USK Praha's next round opponent will be NH Ostrava (#7) on the road. BK Usti nad Labem will play against MMCITE Brno and hope to win that game.
