Regular Season Round 6: Svitavy - Prostejov 73-64

The most important game in the last round took place in Svitavy between second ranked Prostejov (4-2) and fifth ranked Basketbal Svitavy (4-2) on Wednesday night. Prostejov was defeated by Basketbal Svitavy in a tough game on the road 64-73. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 24-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for American Cory Abercrombie (201-85, college: Independence CC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds. The former international center Stanislav Votroubek (212-81) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American guard Dylan Talley (196-89, college: Nebraska) replied with 19 points and center Jan Tomanec (205-85) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Prostejov. Prostejov's coach Zbynek Choleva rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Basketbal Svitavy moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Prostejov. Basketbal Svitavy is looking forward to face CEZ Nymburk (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Prostejov will play against NH Ostrava (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
