Regular Season Round 4: Hanau - Karlsruhe 54-75

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked White Wings (0-4) were outleveled by ninth ranked BG Karlsruhe (2-2) in Hanau 75-54 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for American guard Jimmy Dorsey (188-89) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 7 assists. Australian-British forward Paul Brotherson (198-89, college: Metro St.) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four BG Karlsruhe players scored in double figures. BG Karlsruhe's coach Ralf Rehberger felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Cardell McFarland (182-87, college: Ky Wesleyan) replied with 14 points and 5 assists and Tobias Jahn (204-86, college: Cal Poly Pomona) added 7 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for White Wings. BG Karlsruhe moved-up to fifth place in Group South, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser White Wings still closes the standings with four games lost. BG Karlsruhe will face league's second-placed Dragons Rhoendorf at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. White Wings will play against SG Schwelmer Baskets (#6) and hope to get finally their first victory.
