Regular Season Round 5: Baunach - Cuxhaven 103-65

Bottom-ranked Cuxhaven BasCats is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to fifth ranked Baunach (4-1) 103-65. Baunach players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Cuxhaven BasCats helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Anthony Lee-Ingram (195-88, college: Brescia, KY) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Marcos Knight (188-89, college: Middle Tenn.St.) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Baunach's coach Ivan Pavic felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. Bill Borekambi (199-92, college: Sequoias CC) produced 20 points and swingman Dennis Nawrocki (193-92) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Baunach moved-up to third place, which they share with Hamburg. Cuxhaven BasCats lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Baunach's next round opponent will be league's second-placed s Oliver Baskets in Wuerzburg and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cuxhaven BasCats will play on the road against Giessen 46ers (#11) and look forward to get finally their first victory.
