Regular Season Round 4: Hyogo S. - Mitsubishi DD 81-70

There was a change at the NBL leadership position after last games. Round 4 most important game was a defeat of Mitsubishi Dolphins (3-1). They were defeated by fifth ranked Hyogo S. (1-3) 81-70 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Mitsubishi Dolphins. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-70. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward DeVaughn Washington (202-89, college: Ohio, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who added 22 points during the contest. Four Hyogo S. players scored in double figures. Hyogo S.'s coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Senegalese-French forward Amath M'Baye (206-89, college: Oklahoma) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Kei Igarashi (180-80) scored 11 points. Hyogo S. maintains fifth position with 1-3 record, which they share with Hokkaido L. Mitsubishi Dolphins at the other side still keep top place with one game lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. They were replaced at the leadership position by Wakayama T.. Mitsubishi Dolphins will play next round against league's leader Wakayama T. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Hyogo S. will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Toyota Alvark in Tokyo.
