15th ranked Phoenix Hagen (1-5) was outscored at home by fifth ranked EWE Baskets (5-1) with the biggest margin this round 122-83 on Saturday night. The game without a history. EWE Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. EWE Baskets moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Phoenix Hagen lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with five games lost. EWE Baskets will face Braunschweig (#13) in Braunschweig in the next round which should be another easy win for them.
