Regular Season Round 3: ALBA - Maccabi T-A 69-84

Rather predictable result when Israeli Maccabi T-A (2-1) beat on the road German ALBA Berlin (0-3) 84-69 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi T-A. ALBA Berlin was better in fourth quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi T-A looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Brian Randle (203-85) who scored 25 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga, agency: Priority Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 assists. Four Maccabi T-A players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Reggie Redding (196-88, college: Villanova) who recorded 15 points and forward Jamel McLean (203-88, college: Xavier) added 12 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Maccabi T-A will face Cedevita in Zagreb in the next round. ALBA Berlin will play at home against Limoges CSP Elite and hopes to get finally their first victory.
