Regular Season Round 7: Ehingen - Giessen 46ers 52-80
Date: October 31, 2014
Bottom-ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 80-52 loss to tenth ranked Giessen 46ers (4-3) in Allmendingen. They made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized American guard T.J. DiLeo (190-90, college: Temple) who led the winners and scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. American point guard Cameron Wells (186-88, college: Citadel) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Four Giessen 46ers players scored in double figures. American forward Patrick Simon (203-92, college: Seattle Pacific) came up with 23 points and 9 rebounds and center Mahir Agva (206-96) added 6 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Ehingen/Urspringschule in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Giessen 46ers moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Ehingen/Urspringschule lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Giessen 46ers' next round opponent will be Baunach (#10) at home which should be theoretically another easy game. Ehingen/Urspringschule will play against BV Chemnitz 99 (#13) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
