The game in Alytus was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Tonybet (4-5) played at the court of seventh ranked Dzukija (5-5). Dzukija managed to secure a 5-point victory 61-56 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tonybet. Tonybet trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 22-9 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 56-61 at the end of the game. Dzukija dominated on the defensive end, holding Tonybet to just 7 points in second quarter. They also forced 24 Tonybet turnovers and outrebounded them 50-39 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, agency: Alti Sport) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds. Martynas Paliukenas (195-93) chipped in 10 points and 4 assists. Dzukija's coach Andrej Urlep used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. point guard Ovidijus Varanauskas (187-91) produced 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and power forward Giedrius Staniulis (205-91) added 10 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for the guests. Dzukija moved-up to fifth place. Loser Tonybet dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Dzukija will meet bottom-ranked Mazeikiai (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tonybet will play against Juventus (#4) and hope to secure a win.
