KL Dragons recorded the second straight victory in the semifinal series versus the Saigon Heat. The Dragons therefore swept the series and reached the ASEAN League Finals. Justin Knox nailed 29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Malaysian team. The Heat jumped to a 24:18 lead after the first frame. The hosts boosted the lead to 8-point mark at the interval 50:42. But the Dragons turned things around in the third term. The visitors unleashed 31 points in the period and spurred ahead for an 8-point lead at the final intermission. The Dragons added 29 points in the fourth quarter to seal the winning outcome. Avery Scharer and Chris Eversley had 17 points apiece for the Dragons. Leo Avenido answered with 30 points for the Heat. Justin Williams accounted for 27 points and 17 rebounds in the defeat.
