There was no surprise when 17th ranked Walter Tigers (1-6) were crushed on the road by fourth ranked Bayern Muenchen (6-1) 107-81. The game without a history. Bayern Muenchen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Bayern Muenchen shot 26 for 37 from the free-throw line, while Walter Tigers only scored ten points from the stripe. 31 personal fouls committed by Walter Tigers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic (196-94, agency: Beo Basket) who led the winners and scored 23 points. Bosnian forward Nihad Djedovic (197-90, agency: Beo Basket) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. American guard Michael Cuffee (195-83, college: Middle Tenn.St.) came up with 18 points and international center Bogdan Radosavljevic (213-93) added 16 points respectively for Walter Tigers in the defeat. Five Bayern Muenchen and four Walter Tigers players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Brose Bask. and EWE Baskets. Walter Tigers at the other side dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. Bayern Muenchen's next round opponent will be league's leader ALBA Berlin on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Walter Tigers will play against ratiopharm Ulm (#11) and hope to win that game.
