Regular Season Round 3: Maccabi R.Hen - Elitzur Ramla 64-70

Another exciting game for Elitzur Ramla (2-1) which played on the court of Maccabi Ramat Hen (1-2). Elitzur Ramla won 70-64. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-16. But Maccabi Ramat Hen won second period 12-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Elitzur Ramla made 23-of-24 charity shots (95.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Maccabi Ramat Hen turnovers. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for Danielle McCray (186-87, college: Kansas) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Ashley Houts (168-87, college: Georgia, agency: Josep and Nicolas) helped adding 18 points, 5 assists and 4 steals (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!). The best for the losing side was forward Kayla Thornton (185-92, college: UTEP) with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Rebekah Gardner (185-90, college: UCLA) scored 12 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Elitzur Ramla will play against ASA Jerusalem at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Maccabi Ramat Hen will play against Elitzur Netanya to get more than just one victory in their record.
