Regular Season Round 4: Nancy - Sevilla 68-59

Date: November 5, 2014
Both second ranked French Sluc Nancy and one of their biggest challengers Spanish Sevilla had identical 2-1 record. This time Sluc Nancy used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Sevilla 68-59 on Wednesday night. It was a key game for the top position in Group C. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-9. But Sevilla won second period 15-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sluc Nancy made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American point guard Darius Adams (186-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Three Eye Sports) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Forward Florent Pietrus (202-81) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Sluc Nancy's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Serbian guard Nikola Radicevic (197-94) replied with 11 points and 6 assists and Latvian power forward Kristaps Porzingis (211-95) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Sevilla. Sluc Nancy (3-1) keeps a position of Group C leader, which they share with Virtus Acea. Loser Sevilla keeps the third place with two games lost. Sluc Nancy will face bottom-ranked Spirou Charleroi on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Sevilla will play against CEZ Nymburk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
