Regular Season Round 11: Trakai - Vilniaus 72-56

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Trakai (7-4) defeated at home 11th ranked Vilniaus (4-5) 72-56 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Trakai. Vilniaus was better in second period 20-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Trakai forced 25 Vilniaus turnovers. The best player for the winners was Kazakhstan forward Lukas Brazdauskis (206-88) who scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Tomas Lekunas (200-93) chipped in 14 points. American guard Jermaine Love-Roberts (188-89, college: Ill.-Springfield) produced 15 points and 4 steals and center Vitalijus Luksa (206-86) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Trakai have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Suduva-Mantinga. Newly promoted Vilniaus keeps the eleventh position with five games lost. Trakai will face Nafta-Uni. (#5) in Klaipeda in the next round. Vilniaus will play at home against the league's leader Ezerunas-Karys (#1) and hope to win that game.
