Regular Season Round 5: Kumanovo - Feni Indistrija 97-90

Prva Liga round 5 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of Feni Indistrija (3-2) against third ranked Kumanovo 2009 (4-1) 97-90 was the most important game of the last round. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 97-90. Kumanovo 2009 dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Feni Indistrija's 30 and made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Feni Indistrija helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Serbian swingman Vukasin Mandic (200-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Feni Indistrija at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Kumanovo. Feni Indistrija will play next round against Goce Delchev trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Kumanovo 2009 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
