Date: November 8, 2014
Dwyane Wade scored 25 points and had eight assists, leading the Miami Heat to a 102-92 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night. Chris Bosh added 24 points and seven rebounds for the Heat, who snapped their two-game losing skid. The Heat made 52 percent of their shots from the field compared to the Timberwolves' 40 percent. In addition, the Heat also edged the Timberwolves in the assist category dishing out 26 dimes against Minnesota's 13 assists. Nikola Pekovic led the way for the Timberwolves with a double-double performance chipping in 24 points and 11 rebounds. Thaddeus Young added 16 points and six rebounds for the Timberwolves who were missing the services of Ricky Rubio, who sprained his ankle against the Magic. Shabazz Muhammad was the lone bright spot off the bench, scoring 13 points and two assists. Surprisingly, the Timberwolves managed to out-rebound the Heat 49-40. Miami took a commanding 11-point lead heading to the fourth but Minnesota eventually made a 16-10 run capped off by Martin's three-point jumper to cut the deficit to four. The Miami Heat proved too much for the young Timberwolves as Wade and Bosh combined for 18 of the Heat's 22 fourth quarter points to seal their fourth win this year. The Miami Heat improve to 4-2 while the Minnesota Timberwolves drop to 2-4. Miami will head southwest tomorrow as they take on the Dallas Mavericks, who are off to a 4-2 start. The Timberwolves will face the Rockets on Wednesday at the Target Center. Courtesy of: vavel.com
