Regular Season Round 5: Kozuv - V.Lisici 93-74

Bottom-ranked V.Lisici is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to seventh ranked Kozuv (2-2) 93-74. The game was mostly controlled by Kozuv. V.Lisici was better in second period 27-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kozuv shot 25 for 34 from the free-throw line, while V.Lisici only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded V.Lisici 47-26 including a 38-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Kozuv especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. V.Lisici was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian swingman Miladin Pekovic (197-83, agency: BeoExcell) stepped up and scored 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Serbian Filip Sepa (198-90, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Forward Andrej Biljanovski (196-91) responded with 17 points and swingman Aleksandar Stefanovski (200-87) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kozuv moved-up to sixth place. Newly promoted V.Lisici still closes the standings with five games lost. Kozuv will play against higher ranked Rabotnicki in Skopje in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. V.Lisici's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Skopje Karpos Sokoli.
