Second-best Prostejov (8-4) fell to ninth ranked USK Praha (4-7) in overtime by eight points 100-108 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Prostejov. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Prostejov won third quarter 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Prostejov used huge pressure winning it 29-27 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 15-23. USK Praha made 26-of-34 free shots (76.5 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Prostejov was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Slovenian forward Mitja Nikolic-Smrdelj (200-91) who led his team to a victory with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Slovenian center Matej Krusic (211-87) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five USK Praha players scored in double figures. USK Praha's coach Mirsad Alilovic used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Power forward David Steffel (212-85) replied with 26 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Dylan Talley (196-89, college: Nebraska) added 26 points in the effort for Prostejov. USK Praha moved-up to eighth place. Prostejov at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. USK Praha will face CEZ Nymburk on the road in the next round. Prostejov will play against MMCITE Brno and hope to win that game.
