Very expected game in Athens where 9th ranked Olympiakos (1-6) was defeated by fifth ranked Terpsithea (4-3) 65-61. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-15. But Olympiakos won second period 18-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Terpsithea forced 19 Olympiakos turnovers. It was a good game for American forward Alexandra Williams (183, college: St.Francis, PA) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. International center Elina Iskioglou (188-86) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. FYR Macedonian guard Ana Tanturovska (174-90) replied with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Rafaela Soultani (171-91) added 6 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Olympiakos. Terpsithea moved-up to fourth place, which they share with PAOK. Olympiakos at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth position with six games lost. Terpsithea's next round opponent will be league's leader AE Ellinikou at home and it may be the game of the week. Olympiakos will play against Anagenisi (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
