Energa Czarni (3-3) survived in overtime against Asseco (4-2) by seven points 90-83 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Asseco. Asseco was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 22-20 charge of Energa Czarni, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 12-5. American guard Kyle Shiloh (188-85, college: Nevada) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Jaroslaw Mokros (200-90) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Energa Czarni players scored in double figures. Energa Czarni's coach Dejan Mijatovic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American point guard A.J. Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) with 30 points and 6 rebounds and Lithuanian center Ovidijus Galdikas (217-88) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds. Energa Czarni moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Polfarmex KT and Torun. Loser Asseco keeps the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Rosa Radom and Stelmet ZG. Energa Czarni will meet Wilki Morskie (#10) in the next round. Asseco will play against Stabill Jezioro (#16) and hope to secure a win.
