NBL top team - Hitachi Sunrockers (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Tsukuba R. (0-10) 82-51. The game without a history. Hitachi Sunrockers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Tsukuba R.'s 34. They outrebounded Tsukuba R. 39-26 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American point guard Stanley Burrell (191-84) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 5 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). The former international guard Kenta Hirose (193-85) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Lamar Sanders (198-84, college: Lamar) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import power forward Justin Reynolds (206-88, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 8 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Tsukuba R.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Hitachi Sunrockers. They maintain first place with 9-1 record. Tsukuba R. lost their tenth game in a row. They still close the standings with ten games lost. Hitachi Sunrockers will face Hokkaido L. (#6) in Saporro in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Tsukuba R. will play on the road against the league's second-placed Dragonflies in Hiroshima and hopes to get finally their first victory.
