Regular Season Round 14: Dallas M. - Sacramento K. 106-98
Date: November 11, 2014
The Kings blew a 24-point lead and dropped their second consecutive game, 106-98, to the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday night at American Airlines Center. The Kings had won five in a row before losing at Oklahoma City on Sunday and tonight. Rudy Gay led the Kings (5-3) with 26 points, and eight assists to go with seven rebounds. Ramon Sessions started in place of Darren Collison (left shoulder stiffness) and had 18 points. Ben McLemore had 17 points and DeMarcus Cousins had 16 points, 11 rebounds and five assist but was limited to 30 minutes because of foul trouble. The Mavericks missed their first six shots and Kings looked unstoppable, opening the game on a 24-4 run. Sacramento’s biggest lead 44-20 with 8:46 left in the second quarter. But as the fouls piled up and the Kings’ shooting cooled off, the Mavericks chipped away at the lead, taking their first lead, 69-67, on a lay up by Monta Ellis with 5:37 left in the third quarter. Dirk Nowitzki led Dallas (5-3) with 23 points. Chandler Parsons added 19 points. Courtesy of: sacbee.com
