Regular Season Round 6: Snaefell - KR 91-99

Undefeated leader KR delivered the sixth consecutive victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Snaefell (3-3) 99-91 in Stykkisholmur. Snaefell was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Strangely Snaefell outrebounded KR 43-28 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The former international guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87) notched a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists to lead the effort and American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU) supported him with 25 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Even a double-double of 26 points and 16 rebounds by American forward Chris Woods (195-89, college: Pfeiffer) did not help to save the game for Snaefell. The former international forward Sigurdur Thorvaldsson (201-80) added 24 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KR (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row. Snaefell at the other side keeps the fifth place with three games lost. KR's next round opponent will be Haukar (#3) in Hafnarfjordur, which may be the game of the day. Snaefell will play on the road against Njardvik in Njardvik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
